SUBTERFORGE 3D Box Modeler
Parametric 3D enclosure simulator with slot-port airflow streamline particle physics, Helmholtz tuning ($F_b$), and Mach velocity warnings.
Enclosure Geometry & Airflow
The Engineering Breakdown
Subterfuge replaces fragmented calculators, inaccurate tone generators, and unstable spreadsheets with verified acoustics mathematics and sample-accurate audio worklets.
PolyBLEP Anti-Aliasing DSP
Standard oscillators generate infinite harmonics that fold across the Nyquist barrier as harsh digital distortion. Subterfuge applies second-order polynomial band-limited residual correction, guaranteeing zero-jitter continuous phase down to 10.0 Hz.
Thiele-Small 4th-Order Mechanics
Vented enclosures act as coupled dual-mass resonators. Subterfuge computes non-linear cone displacement, modeling the critical excursion notch at box tuning frequency (Fb) and voice coil thermal resistance rise (+0.393% / °C).
16,384-Point Radix-2 FFT
Ultra-narrow 2.9 Hz bin resolution running at 60 FPS on the Android GPU. Accurately pinpoint structural cabin rattles, standing waves, and port turbulence harmonics without spectral smear.
SUBTERFORGE Box Acoustics
Parametric 3D enclosure designer. Computes gross and net volume, slot-port length, boundary gain loading, and Mach airflow warnings (<0.15 Mach) before cutting expensive Baltic Birch plywood.
Measurement Honesty
Every number displayed carries its exact provenance: Tier 0 predictive model, Tier 1 uncalibrated phone mic, Tier 2 field-calibrated meter, or Tier 3 lab-calibrated USB microphone (such as miniDSP UMIK-1 with individual cal files).
Android Native Worklet Engine
Built for Android 14+ via Capacitor 8. Audio synthesis executes on an isolated real-time thread backed by zero-copy seqlock memory buses, with an instantaneous background panic mute guard.
Hardware Character & Design Tokens
Milled aluminium surfaces, knurled gold hardware, obsidian data wells, and strict semantic rules.
Clipping thresholds, thermal warnings, and active laser scans.
Things the user acts upon: knurled bezels, hold plates, hardware bolts.
Things reported: readouts, oscilloscope traces, spectrums, telemetry.
Chamfered bevel edges with specular incident light highlights.
